The Kiwanis Club of Tempe Nuevo has one major fund raising event each year. That event will be here soon as we will hold our third annual charity golf tournament on Saturday, October 9th at the Club West Golf Club in Phoenix. The course is located at 16400 South 14th Avenue Phoenix, Arizona 85045
We need your support and participation. Each dollar received from this event goes toward community projects and scholarships. No money is used to cover any club administrative expense. Some of our projects are listed below.
Ø Dollars for Scholars – Tempe District Scholarships
Ø YMCA Youth Swimming Programs
Ø Salvation Army
Ø McClintock and Tempe Accelerated High Key Clubs
Ø Thew Elementary School Reading Programs
Ø Scholarships for middle school children
Ø Tempe Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee
Ø Thew Kindergarten Field Trip to Schnepf Farms
Ø Arizona Special Olympics State Meet
If you golf, please consider playing and distributing this information to others. If you do not golf, please pass this on to someone who plays in the hope that they will participate in our tournament. You are welcome to join us for lunch (only $15) and participate in our silent auction and raffle.
Kiwanis is about “ONE” where “One” person does make a difference. Our goal is to improve the world “ONE” child, “ONE” community through “ONE” volunteer and “ONE” project at a time.
